How Superstitious Are You?

I think all of us are familiar with chain-letters. But nowadays, it became chain-emails or chain-sms or whatever modern technology call it. Normally, when I received those, I just ignore and sometimes deleting without reading them. This past few days, I keep on receiving this e-mail and like I said I just hit the delete button.

Again, on July 2nd at 11.36am I received the same e-mail as below:

From: Hilda
Sent: Wednesday, July 02, 2008 11:36 AM
To: [deleted]
Subject: FW: E-mail me after u read this

Let me know what happens to you the morning after you open this e-mail. This is an unusual one. It actually gives you a time tomorrow. Let's see if it works.

GUARDIAN ANGEL

Forward this message the same day you received it. It may sound ridiculous, but it is right on time. We believe that something is about to happen. Angels exist, only sometimes they haven't got wings and we call them friends; you are one of them. Something wonderful is about to happen to you and your friends. Tomorrow at 8:23am somebody will address you and tell you something you have been waiting to hear. Please send it to at least 7 of your friends.

Of course, I didn't send out this e-mail as instructed. But it stayed in my inbox as I totally forgot about it.

Now, this is what happened yesterday. At around 8.15am, a colleague from Lahad Datu (En. Rusdi) dropped by at my office and gave two packets of keropok which he bought from Terengganu. Soon after he left, Stella, another colleague who is just at next door, came in bringing one plastic bag. She told me that it was from my friend in Kedah (Anis Haniza). They met in Terengganu. The bag contained, 3 packets of keropok, 2 packets of dodol and baju batik. Wow! syoknya. Banyak betul tu keropok so I shared them with Stella and Serman (also a colleague).

At 10.15am, I went out for my tea break. Then I met Hilda (the one who sent the email above) eating alone so I joined her. She paid my food. Oh well, let her, coz dia tu gaji besar :D

Around 12.45pm, I was about to lock the office door when Janaith, a colleague from Labuan called and said she wanted to see me. She gave me a packet of chocolate.

15 minutes to 5pm, I received a call from my brother. He said he wanted to belanja me and hubby a 'Bak Kut Teh' dinner. Wah! rezeki jangan ditolak. So we had our dinner at 818 Restaurant, Millennium Plaza. What a lucky day for me!

When I came in to the office this morning, as usual I'll browse through my email. Then I realized, Hilda's e-mail is still in my inbox. This sentence caught me "let me know what happens to you" then I start recalling what had happened to me yesterday (shared as above). I've replied Hilda's e-mail telling her from A to Z and I am yet to receive her comments :D

So, tell me. Is it superstitious or merely coincidence?
