Caroling Here and There Part 2

More pictures of our caroling. Next house was my hubby's cousin, Bebi. Her house is just nearby. It's a walking distance. I let the pictures do the talking ;)

What I love most was their laksa. Hot and yummy ;)

The 'tuan rumah' - Bebi's hubby, he was asked to sing a song with a funny mask on, LoL

The following night, we went to my hubby's cousin, Edook (Bebi's brother)

The 'tuan rumah' giving speech, with our Choir Master

Next stop was at my SIL house at Ramayah.

It was a bit different from other houses, they eat first, sing later ;)

The crowds, my SIL and children from Tenom also came

Preparing to perform carols

It was also the birthday of Emma, my SIL's daughter

Then, it was my house turns:

The hardworking carollers

Xander, my nephew celebrated his third birthday that night

What I love most was, the sumandaks and a hero were helping with the dishes!! Daphne, my SIL too, but she's not in the picture (sorry Daphne, your picture blur bah)

Christmas party and the last house of our caroling will be in the next post. Stay tuned!

Caroling Here and There Part 1

I have to post this. The relatives wanna see their pics ;)

After our caroling at Tenom, next was Pogunon. My BIL and family live there. Unfortunately, I didn't join them. As I was injured during our Labuan trip. Had I posted the Labuan trip? I don't think so. I forgot. Oh yes. As soon as we arrived from Tenom, My SIL asked us if we wanted to go to Labuan. This was madness. I hadn't rest after the Tenom trip, and now Labuan? Oh wth! It's been a long time I didn't go there anyway, so why not. It was only a half day trip by the way.

We took the speed boat to Labuan around 10.00am. It was a half an hour bumpy and bouncy ride. My back was aching!

Bought these, wines and chocolates then we proceeded to the jetty to buy our tickets. The ferry was leaving at 1.30pm.

The ferry was crowded. I wasn't surprise coz it was a holiday! It was suffocating inside there and my son just couldn't bear it. Before he throw-up, I booked him at VIP seat. It was a lot better there and it was comfortable.

The jetty at Menumbuk.

Now back to caroling. After Pogunon, next house was at Liput. The house of my SIL. Here are some pictures.

The 'tuan rumah'

I'll continue in my next post ;)

Lagud Seberang, Tenom

When you are already in Tenom, visiting the 'Taman Pertanian Sabah' at Lagud Seberang is a must. And we were so lucky that day, they were having a fiesta!
The entrance. Stalls selling food, handicrafts and many more

They have a big dinasour :)

Another dinosaur...

The big foot of a dinosaur...

Experimenting whether the giant leaves can hold up a handbag and a bottle of water ;)

Another weird thing the children found. No idea what it was..

It's impossible to make our round coz it was a huge area, hundreds of acres, I think!
So, this is our reliable transportation. A Train!

Oh and by the way, during our visit to Tenom, we stayed in this hotel. A small one but it's clean. That's what important most :)

There are more pictures but I don't think I can upload all LoL. So, if you are in Tenom and you love flora and fauna, do visit this place.

Carols by Candlelight at Tenom

Part of the children getting ready to sing carols. It's not easy to take their picture as they moved around. Actually, they were so excited. This was the first house we visited, that's why the children can't wait to sing!

Here they are! The picture is not so clear as they turned off the light and they only had their candles light. We had fun and we were happy that we were able to spread the Good News through Carols!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season

With 2 weeks before Christmas, REMEMBER:
Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole
JESUS is everywhere

Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help

Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. And then enters your heart

You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers Health, Help and Hope

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you"

Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions

Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength

While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree

It's obvious there is really no comparison
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about
We need to put Christ back in Christmas

Jesus is still the reason for the season

A tourist from U.S.A. asked Muthu whether any great man was born in his village...

*MUTHU & HIS EXPERIMENT*

Muthu was doing an experiment with a cockroach. First he cut off one leg and told it to 'WALK! WALK!' The cockroach walked. Then he cut off it's second leg and told the same. The cockroach walked. Then he cut off the third leg and did the same. Finally, he cut off its fourth leg and ordered it walk! But the cockroach didn't walk. Suddenly, Muthu said loudly, 'I found it. If we cut a cockroach's four legs, it becomes deaf.'

Muthu: 'It's simple.. I will just stop my imagination. '

*Oh... Lastly.... I forgot ............ the funniest....*

At a political rally, Muthu was arrested. Why????????? ??? Because a lady journalist with a badge which read '*PRESS*' pinned on the right part of her blouse walked past him... and he did it!
ps. I do not know who created this humour but I had a good laugh :)
