Xander

Xander, my nephew is not feeling well since last month. He had fever to which we thought after taking medicine he would be fine. But it isn't like that. After he finished his antibiotics, the fever is still there. We brought him again to see the same doctor and was given the same medicine.

After a few days without improvement, I brought him to see another doctor for second opinion. He was suspected of malaria and was referred to GH.

This is him during the blood test. Fortunately, he didn't cry during the procedure.

We waited two hours for the result and were informed later, there's no malaria. But he was admitted that night for more investigations. More tests were taken, including x-ray and brain ct scan. Everything appear normal. But the fever won't go down.

I visited him last night and he was doing fine except for his fever. The doctor is planning to have LP this evening to check meningitis but my sister reluctant to give her consent. But who isn't scared?

Please pray for his speedy recovery.

Servay Hypermarket Penampang Destroyed in Fire

I received a very short e-mail last Wednesday.

20.08.2008
20082008
What history do you want to write today?

I thought it was a nice numbers. Nevertheless, I said a short prayer, "all I want is my family out of danger and in a good health"

Around 8.00pm that night, I received an SMS from a relative who lives at Kg. Nosoob. Her SMS read, "FYI: Servay Penampang is on FIRE now! Nasib kita shopping di CKS tadi kan". I thanked her for the info and quickly googled Servay. And this is the first video on YouTube I found on the net. It looked like a small fire so I thought, maybe the damage was not so big.

But then, when I read the New Sabah Times the next morning. I was so shocked and stunned to see the aftermath of the fire. Our shopping place is totally gone!

Well, a history is written on the 20.08.2008.

God's Blessings

a small butterfly landed on my printer :)

MATTHEW 19:23

Jesus said to his disciples, "Amen, I say to you, it will hard for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven"

===============================

What's the difference between a rich man and a poor man? Obviously, it's money. Why would money make it more difficult for a person to enter into the kingdom of God? Could it be that it's not so much that one possesses money, but rather, what one chooses to do with that possession?

God generously bestows blessings upon us so that we, in turn, may be transformed into blessings for others. From a Christian perspective, money confers upon its recipients the obligation to acknowledge the blessing of wealth as principled stewards.

Additionaly, we bear the Christian responsibility to enrich the lives of those possessing less. Thanks to free will, each of us retains the discretion to use money as we choose. Still, we need to remember that the door-way of heaven narrows whenever we act as though our wealth represents power to be wielded over others.

"Lord, do not let money come between Thee and me"

Think Differently

A nice e-mail I received today. A big thank you to the person who wrote/created this.

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said 'I am blind, please help'. There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way'. What he had written was 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the story : Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Linda Nanuwil Launched Her KaDus Album
