Road to Climbing Mountain Kinabalu Part 2

Dimban Fun Run

There must be a reason, why I didn't exercise more in March 2016 ๐Ÿ˜Š When I checked my apps (Runkeeper), only a few recorded in March.  It was either my apps was broken or I switched to other apps (Samsung Health). I was using both apps last time but since my handphone cannot handle both, I stick to Runkeeper coz it's easier to use.  But in April, I paid back ๐Ÿ’ช

Road to Climbing Mountain Kinabalu

When I first planned that I wanted to climb Mountain Kinabalu, I said I will document it in a blog.  But I never get to my pc to do the documentation.  Recently, my son urged me to do it as a remembrance he said.  Then, here I am.

This happened in 2016.

My brother who works at Sabah Parks booked a date for the climb.  It was on the 26th November 2016.  He booked it early January 2016.  He told us, you have 10 months to get prepared.  I've never thought that I could climb the highest mountain in South East Asia.  So I asked my brother, if it's okay that I climb up to Laban Rata a.k.a. Panar laban only.  His reply, "up to you".

So, the journey began.

Check on my next post ๐Ÿ˜…

Morning Walk

As I said in my previous posting, I wanted to go for a morning walk today.  And yes, I did.  But I woke up quite late.  Reached at the starting point at 6.55am.  Warmed up and did some stretching before I began my walk.  I thought of doing 3km walk but I ended up doing 5km.

Saw this buffalo. It seemed like he was having fun with the leaves

Should I be afraid of them?

I did 2.5km in 32 minutes

Saw him again on my way back. Those leaves had gone

5km in 55 minutes. This is no good.  I've done 13km in 1 hour ๐Ÿ˜…

It's 2020

I think my last post was in 2015.  That was five years ago.  Gosh! That long.

Ok now.  It's 2020 and it is already in October.  Times fly so fast especially now as we are facing a tough time with this Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic.  Continue praying guys.  May God have mercy on us.

I was having a breakfast with my son this morning and we were talking so many things and one of them is about climbing a mountain where back in 2016.  Yes. I climbed Mt Kinabalu that year together with my husband and son.  So, were talking about the trips and out of a sudden my son said, why don't you blog your experience?  I said, ya I really want to, but I just don't have a time.  My son said, "Make Time".  So he set up my computer again and here I am.

Anyway, I will start writing them tomorrow (hopefully I'll remember doing it tomorrow).  It's late now.  Almost midnight (11.54pm).  I want to turn in coz tomorrow I intend to go for a morning walk.

Goodnight.

p.s. Today is the 5th day of CMCO of 3rd phase.

The Philippines' Trip - Day 4

07 December 2014

Day 4 we went to Tagaytay to visit
Our Lady of Manaoag at Tierra de Maria

Then we took jeepney to the People's Park in the Sky of Tagaytay

So blessed to find this shrine for Mother Mary

a Rio de Janerio like statue - Christ the Redeemer
at the People's Park in the Sky, Tagaytay Hill

waiting for a transportation?

all I can say of this park is, it could be a tourist attraction
if they can maintain it ~ the park needs major maintenance

Can you see the statue at the back?

a Jeepney is waiting but we didn't ride it
we prefer walking down the hill while enjoying
the breath-taking view of Tagaytay

from Tagaytay, we went straight to Baclaran
to attend Sunday Mass at
The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help
this church opens 24 hours a day and 365 days a year
and is located at
Roxas Boulevard, Baclaran

outside the church
(see the face? all are tired from Tagaytay trip)

They were happy again because they met Jollibee
(but only for a while! - we were tired waiting for the rest of the groups
who went missing at Baclaran's sunday market)

at the Mall of Asia

Fresh again after eating

after Dinner, watching people ice-skating
just relaxing before going back to our hotel
