My youngest son will be sitting for his UPSR exam this year. He is studying at SK St. Theresa Inobong, Penampang. The school invited all parents concerned to witness the Year 6 students giving their vow to obtain 5As in the examinations.
Minister in PM's Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok also witnessed the occassion. Tan Sri was there to present cash gifts to six students who scored 5As last year.

Aiyor! Have to take a vow!!! Poor innocent kids! All that stress and pressure at such a young age. What if they do not get 5As? They may be psychologically affected by the sense of guilt, scarred for the rest of their lives!!! Gee! What were those people thinking?
But the prize is good what..hehehehe.. I'm sure your son will get it Phil..
I agree UPSR is unnecessary stress for 12yr olds!!! The result doesn't reflect the children's aptitude in secondary school.. Anyway, good luck to your son Phil, I'm sure he'll do well. :)
Phil... I wish your son all the best in his UPSR kio. I'm sure he will do good.

The school which my son and my other children attended has always this ceremony ;) I don't actually take this seriously. I just told my children to do well and not pushing too hard.
