Double Yolks

One morning, I was preparing breakfast for my children. When I cracked an egg into a bowl, out came a double yolks! I've never encountered such one before. It's very rare. So, I took a picture so that I can show them to my children ;)

Erm....I hope it's a good sign. RM20m maybe LoL!!! Gila sudah si Phil.....!

I attended a seminar at Holy Nativity Church, Terawi for three days. It began last Thursday and ended on Saturday. This seminar is for the confirmation candidates. I am the sponsor to my niece. Their confirmation will be this coming Saturday, Oct 11th.

Kuih Raya Lagi

Another kuih raya for me. Last Friday, when we returned to work after raya holidays, my colleague brought a few traditional kuih raya for me to try. Kuih jala, sapit, makmur, cincin, baulu and many more which I couldn't figure its name. Thank you so much friend!

Aidilfitri Greetings

First and foremost, I would like to wish everyone 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri' and enjoy the Syawal month. Even though I didn't go anywhere during the two days holidays, but I am sure, there will be more open houses during the whole festive month.

And as usual, I never miss ordering raya cookies from colleagues and friends. This year, I ordered many compared to previous year. Bah! ada bonus kan LoL.

Besides the pictures above, I also ordered Kuih Sapit and Kuih Jala, my old time kuih traditional favourites. I also had Double Chocolate and Chocolate Mint cookies but were finished even before Raya by my children :) Sedappp bah!

I Feel So Lucky!

Last Friday, I went to the bank at Lido to do some transactions (bayar hutang hehe) . I was lucky enough there were only a few customers so I did my business very fast. So, killing the time, I go and check what Lido has to offer. I saw the STC 4D outlet. Feeling lucky that day, I thought why don't I give it a try.

At the counter:

Me : Could you please give me 4D lucky pick?

Salesgirl : How much?

Me : Erm...RM5.00

She printed and gave it to me. I paid and turned away. When I checked the ticket, she gave me ONE number with 5 bets. Oh no! What I wanted was FIVE numbers with 1 bet each. Heck. I didn't want to queue up again. I just left the outlet.

I checked the result online. And guess what? I won! I won! hehehe. It was only a consolation prize but do the calculation please. RM60 x 5 bets? Yes! You calculated it right. I won RM300.00!

I haven't collected my prize yet. Hopefully, they don't change the result :) But so far, there is no announcement for correction.

Suddenly, I became to like this comics and finished reading them all hehehe)

Fuel Reduced & Bonus

Fuel is reduced to 10 sen more by today. It will be sold at RM2.45 per litre. I hope it will reduce further soon. Well, I guess, I can only hope!

And to all Sabah Civil Servants, they must be smiling extra wide this weekend. Half month bonus will be given to them. The other half will be paid in December. Well, as you all know, I've received mine earlier but it's okay, hubby is getting his, so boleh minta belanja lah ni :)

My Simple Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday :) No grand celebration and no cakes for me. Sudah tua ni tidak payah celebrate besar-besaran LoL. Family dinner saja lah :)

After attending evening mass, we went out to celebrate. A simple dinner. We ordered these:

Wedding

I do always receive wedding invitations but this one is special ;) It because the groom I think is related to Philip and the bride could be the sister of Vivien. The thing is, both Philip and Vivien are my blog buddies. Small world isn't it? So now, Philip and Vivien, I think both of you are now officially related in marriage :)

Anyways, congratulations to Oliver and Anne Marie on your wedding day. Their reception will be held at KDCA, Penampang today at 6.30pm. And you know what, my hubby and his band called 'The Salapa' will entertain the newly wedded couples and all the guests tonight.

Never Ever Lie to a Woman

A man called home to his wife and said, 'Darling, I have been asked to go fishing up in Canada with my boss and several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting, so could you please pack enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and fishing box, we're leaving from the office and I will swing by the house to pick my things up'

The wife thinks this sounds a bit fishy but being the good wife she is, did exactly what her husband asked.

The following weekend he came home a little tired but otherwise looking good. The wife welcomed him home and asked if he caught many fish?

He said, 'Yes! Lots of salmons, some bluegills and a few swordfishes. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pyjamas like I asked you to do?'

The wife replied, 'I did, dear. They're in your fishing box!'

An Evening with Linda Nanuwil

I was so happy when I received a call asking me whether I could make some time with Linda Nanuwil! What? Do I have a time? Definitely! I will make the time :) I couldn't refuse the invitation, who would? It was like one in a life time hahaha

Managed to get pictures with her. Asked for more autographs and we were chatting like we haven't met for a long time :) She is friendly and humorous.

My Nephew Xander

Xander is back! He is jumping, climbing and kicking! Thank you so much to all relatives, friends, bloggers and colleagues for your concern, advice and prayers.

He was discharged on the 2nd of September 2008. He is still need to be reviewed but what matter most is, he is recovering and doing fine.

Merdeka's Celebration at our Church

To all my faithful readers, I am so sorry as I couldn't update my blog for the past few days. My modem and also the CPU were totally damaged due to a great thunderstorms in my area. In fact, not only mine but my neighbours also encountered the same problem.

It seemed that, my computer also wanted to have a Merdeka holiday!

Back to the title above. Last Sunday, we had a Merdeka Mass. It was a very nice homily given by Mgr. Primus Jouil and it was all about Independent Day! Towards the end of the Mass, we proceeded to the outside of the church and had a raising the flag ceremony and sang 'Negaraku'. Then, with full patriotic spirit, Mgr. Jouil shouted 'Merdeka!' three times to which we shouted back the same. It was a very memorable Merdeka celebration for me ;)
