Flood

Jalan Inobong - Kibambangan flooded again. Last night even worst. No one can pass. Not even big vehicles. As for myself, I was caught in a massive jam soon after work. My hubby couldn't pass the Inobong road to fetch me so I tumpang with my workmate. It took us two and a half hours to get free from the jam. I reached at tamu Inobong by 8.00pm.

Then, saya menyeberang jambatan gantung with no light. It was raining. And it was slippery. Saya terpaksa jalan kaki ayam hahaha. I was holding my shoes, my handbag and an umbrella. Saya takut terpijak ular saja! Setakat terpijak taik kerbau, ok lagi hehehe

Then my hubby came and fetched me up. We reached home by 8.30pm. My children were telling me their own adventure. How Mr Fidelis Sipangkui @ Mastar gate-crashed their school. Bagus juga dia buat begitu. I was informed later on, ramai ibubapa marah sebab itu principal St Michael macam tidak kisah.

They were told to leave their bags at school. Diorang seberang jambatan Nampasan and from there, diorang hitch-hike. Tapi basah kuyuplah diorang.

This morning I got up and tengok di luar. Macam lengang saja. Tiada kereta limpas. After sending my son to St. Theresa School, kami terus pi tinguk tu banjir.

Those pictures above were taken at Tanaki. At this point, big vehicles like ninja, hilux, dmax boleh lalu. Tapi upon reaching Dungkahang, they turned back. Tidak berani diorang bilang sebab air masih tinggi.

Then, we saw Agut @ Augustine Jubili. Tapi Agut bilang 'try bah'. So kami tinguk memang si Agut hentam juga di Dungkahang. Later on, when I saw him, I asked him about his ninja. Agut bilang 'terpaksa service lah'. Saya jawab 'buli bah kalo ko, sebab banyak duit'.

Nearly to 2pm, my hubby and I pigi tinguk lagi. Tapi my hubby cakap, 'bagus-bagus tidak keluar duit mo servis, mo cari penyakit saja. Kita makan ikan masin sajalah nanti..toopunn'

As at now, 5.30pm tiada hujan dan awanpun cerah. Anak-anak saya pun sedang main badminton di bawah. Hopefully it will maintain like this. If not, bisuk tidak dapat turun kerja lagi. Actually, lagi saya suka hahahaha

Stacy AF6

Stacy posed for my camera

We woke up late this morning. Nothing to worry because we've attended sunset Mass yesterday at Sacred Heart Church, Inobong. Except that my children couldn't attend their Sunday School. Well I said, never mind. It's still a festive mood. It's okay being absent for one sunday.

Sumandaks from Inobong Proper took picture with Stacy

I told my kids to get ready. We will take our breakfast at Donggongon only coz I'm planning to have a hair cut today. When we reached Donggongon, we met my brother and his wife. My sister in law asked us "anyone of you interested to meet Stacy?" What? Stacy? Where? Then she took out her hand phone and showed us the message. My goodness. Of course we want to go. So, she asked us to get ready before 1pm.

Stacy sang 3 songs that day

After breakfast we hurriedly went to a salon. I had my hair wash and cut. Immediately after that, we went and searched for any magazine contained Stacy's picture. I intend to ask for an autograph. We were lucky indeed. The towkay said, the magazine just arrived several minutes ago.

Then off we go. We waited patiently. Then Stacy arrived one and a half hour late. But it's ok. We do understand that she had performed last night at Padang Merdeka, KK. Stacy bilang, dia lambat bangun hahaha. We took many pictures and of course an autograph. We had a splendid afternoon with Stacy and her gang.

Thank you YB Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok and YBhg. Puan Sri Diana Dompok for making our day as a memorable one.

Kaamatan Day

Kalo kelmarin kami pi Little Italy, today kami breakfast di Tamu Inobong saja.

sian kunun...

Bila limpas rumah my parents, kami nampak tu budak saturang di jendela. Biasalah dia tu, kalo dia dengar bunyi kereta datang, mesti dia pi tinguk. So, kami panggil-panggil dia. Malu-malu konon dia. Macam dia tidak peduli sama kami. Kami pun 'bye-bye' sama dia dan terus jalan. Tiba-tiba dia turun dari jendela dia pi pukul-pukul mummy dia then dia hempas badan dia di lantai. Itulah tanda dia merajuk dan marah hahaha.

my hard-working dad

Then, I saw my dad sedang merimbas-rimbas tu rumput.

Kami pun seberanglah tu jambatan gantung pi tamu. Sedang tunggu order, tiba-tiba tu budak muncul. Atuk! nokogusa ih gaman hahaha.

Little Italy

How did my family celebrate Kaamatan this year? Actually, we wanted to go to KDCA but when we reached there, like always, ramai orang dan tiada tempat parking. So, my children bilang, go somewhere else lah.

In the end, we went to Italy. Yes, Italy in Kota Kinabalu. we went to take our brunch at Little Italy Restaurant. Never been there. It was our first time. So we asked the waiter to give us the best pizza and spaghetti.

Bruschetta (Pomodoro)

Our Large Pizza Carnivora

Spaghetti Boscaiola

Spaghetti Marinara

And finally our bill

Our comments : The pizza is not like the pizza at Pizza Hut. This one was so good. The spaghetti were delicious too.

Telur Penyu

Heran bin ajaib. Kenapa bah sesetengah orang ni suka sangat makan telur penyu?? Geli bah tu!

I found the article above in Daily Express dated 17th April 2008. Beside the title, the insert small picture attracts me. She is Dr. Juanita Joseph (the daughter of Mr. Joseph Chin Sang and Mdm. Agnes Aili Majamin. She is from Kg. Inobong Proper, Penampang and now a lecturer at Jabatan Sains Marin Fakulti Pengajian Maritim dan Sains Marin Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT)

Coconut Shell Collection Enters Malaysia Book of Record

My former school Sekolah Menengah St. Michael Penampang has made us proud recently. With combined effort of teachers and students, they entered Malaysia Book of Record for collecting coconut shells. They collected 5,508 shells.

Being a parent of two teenagers who are currently studying at the school, I am so proud of them. I even helped them to collect the shells. I hope this will educate my children to preserve environment.

Here are some articles taken from local newspapers i.e. Daily Express and Borneo Post.

Station of the Cross at Sacred Heart Church Inobong

I've never been to a real 'Station of the Cross'. Because it was formally situated at Kg. Pukakan which is quite far from Kg. Inobong.

Beginning from this year, they had moved the station near the church which is just a walking distance. The response from the kampung folks were overwhelming. Many believers attended. The prayers led by Catechist Stephen Mingkong.

Here are some of the pictures. Hopefully I can get more clear pictures from Mr. John K. He is an expert photographer compared to mine, very the amateur one hehehe

Hujan Ais Batu

Kampung Inobong dikejutkan dengan kehadiran ais batu. Too bad I was still at work when it happened. My son sms-ed telling me about thunderstorms and he was scared. I just told him to stay put and to stay away from electrical goods and phones. Another sms came from him "Ma, hujan batu!". I didn't expect it to be chunks of ice.

After work when I reached home, my children told me it was actually hujan ais batu. According to them, as soon as the 'batu' landed it melted. Tidak sempat ambil. Many of the kampung folks sempat ambil and put in the fridge sebagai kenang-kenangan. But to their dismay, kampung kami blackout until 9.00pm so their 'ice' melted.

Perayaan 120 Tahun Khabar Gembira 2007

Banner sempena 120 Tahun Khabar Gembira

Zon 2 Inobong telah dipilih menjadi tuan rumah sempena perayaan 120 Tahun Khabar Gembira Penampang Parish pada 17 Jun 2007.

Sacred Heart Church Inobong

The Mass was led by Bishop John Lee with a few priests assisting him.
